![]() ![]() “I didn’t think I could!” You tried to tell him as he leaned in closer, caging you against the bed. “I mean you’re you and I don’t think I’ve seen a scratch last on you for more than a couple of hours. And even though you knew that really wasn’t the issue at the moment, you couldn’t help but feel a small pang of disappointment at that realisation. The hickey didn’t look fresh at least, in fact with the rate it’d healed already, it’d probably be gone in another couple of days. “Is that so?” He walked back towards the bed-although stalked might have been a better word given the way he looked at you as he was doing it, his steps smooth in the way those of a predator would be. “Is that what you were thinking as you nipped at me with those feeble human teeth of yours? You’ve sure got a lot of nerve, leaving a mark on me like this.”Īs Shin leaned over the bed you got a better look at his neck. If he’d looked kind of pissed before, his expression was much closer to genuine anger now. Surprise flitted across Shin’s face briefly before his expression soured further. Later, when you thought back on this conversation, you’d blame the fact that still hadn’t completely woken up yet for what you said next. “Well, do you have anything to say for yourself?” Shin voiced, his tone flat and his eye narrowed. It wasn’t like you hadn’t known what you were doing, hadn’t wanted to do it, but Shin healed so quickly you never thought you’d actually be able to. You felt all of the blood in your body rush to your face. ![]() It took a moment for all of the information to sink in, for the events of the night before to come back, to remember how you’d pressed your lips against the base of his throat and sucked. In fact if anything, Shin looked kind of pissed off. Looking at his face, it wasn’t the sort of expression you’d expect from someone who’d discovered they’d contracted a fatal disease either. You sat bolt upright, eyes roaming over Shin’s torso to check for any other signs of the disease but finding none. Huh, it looked kind of like a bruise.Īwareness came back to you all at once as you recalled the time you’d briefly caught sight of Carla shirtless in the bathroom, the skin of his back littered with patches of red and purple the marks of the Endzeit infection eating away at his body. It took you a few moments to register what he was pointing at-a deep-purple stain on his otherwise flawless pale skin. “What the hell-” Shin said, turning to face you and pointing to a spot at the base of his neck “-is this?” You weren’t at quite the right angle to see his expression, so you weren’t sure what he was thinking as he stood there, peering at his reflection. He was shirtless meaning you had quite a nice view as he stretched and padded across his room, pausing in front of the full-length mirror just a couple of paces from his bed. Sleep still clung to you so you lay back, watching Shin as you waited for the fog to clear. ![]() You woke up to Shin ordering you awake-a not uncommon occurrence in recent days-accompanied by some pats to your leg as he climbed out of bed. I was innocently trying to work on my report when Shin kicked my door down and demanded I write this instead. ![]()
